The Nets announced Tuesday they've officially signed second-round pick Tornike Shengelia.
“Toko had a very good summer league which led us to signing him for this season,” GM Billy King said in a statement.
Shengelia's draft rights were acquired by the Nets after the 6-10 forward was taken by Philadelphia with the 54th overall pick in the second round.
In five summer-league games, the 20 year-old posted averages of 10.2 points and 3.6 rebounds.
A league source told ESPN NewYork.com he signed a two-year contract worth the minimum.
The Nets now have 13 players officially under contract, and two roster spots remaining.
