Nets to wear green on Xmas -- vs. Celts

The Brooklyn Nets will be wearing different uniforms on Christmas Day against the Boston Celtics: dark green uniforms.

That’s because the NBA has decided to celebrate 65 years of Xmas Day games by unveiling special “BIG Color” uniforms, which feature a “monochromatic color scheme with solid team logos, names, and numbers framed with minimal accent color and a shimmer finish for a bold statement,” according to a press release issued by the league.

Since the Celtics are also wearing green, we figure the referees are going to have to eliminate “Green Ball!” from their vocabularies.

Ever since they moved to Brooklyn, the Nets have been sporting new black and white uniforms.
