The Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks on Monday night, which made one particular Nets minority owner/hip-hop mogul very happy.

“The city is under new management,” Jay-Z posted on Twitter following Brooklyn’s 96-89 overtime victory over New York at Barclays Center.

Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, were seated in their usual courtside seats next to the Nets’ bench for this one.

Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov was not in attendance.

Joe Johnson reiterated to ESPN NewYork.com Sunday that he thought the Nets were better than the Knicks.

But after scoring just eight points on 3-for-12 shooting on Monday night, Johnson wasn’t about to be boastful.

“We were just trying to take care of homecourt,” Johnson said. “That’s the most important thing, playing here in Brooklyn, so the fact that we can get another win on our floor is big, especially before going out on the road. Us in this locker room, we just look at it as another game. We understand the hype that surrounded this game, but in the end it’s just another team that we are trying to beat.”

• In another throwback performance, Jerry Stackhouse, 38, scored 14 points and went 4-for-6 from 3-point range in 22 minutes off the bench.

He ended up hitting the biggest shot of the game, a 3-pointer from the corner with 3:31 remaining in the extra session that gave the Nets the lead for good, 89-86.

“It’s good to get out there and do what I do and make some plays for this team,” Stackhouse said.

• The Knicks were the highest-scoring team in the NBA coming in, but the Nets limited them to just 89 points on 38.8 percent shooting.

• The Nets have won six straight overtime games dating back to March 3, 2011.

• The Nets have held eight of their last 10 opponents under 100 points and are 8-2 in those games.

Brook Lopez (22 points, 11 rebounds) had his first 20-10 outing of the season.
