Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard and forward Metta World Peace will both sit out Tuesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Howard will miss his third game in a row because of an injured right shoulder.

"I'm in no rush [to return]," Howard said Tuesday morning at the Lakers' shootaround in Manhattan. "Don't want to re-injure it. So, gotta make sure it heals up."

World Peace has been suspended one game by the NBA for grabbing the neck of Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight and striking him in the jaw on Sunday.

When asked if he was looking forward to seeing Brooklyn and Barclays Center, where he once wanted to play, Howard said, "I'm looking forward to our team coming out and having another good game. That's the biggest thing. We need another win. We're playing against a good team, and it's gonna be a challenge."
