Joe Johnson takes rest day

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson (heel/quad) sat out Monday's practice.

The Nets say it was just a "rest day" for Johnson, who has gone 9-for-27 from the field in two games since returning to the lineup after missing the previous five due to injury.

The Nets host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night at Barclays Center.

"I think Joe's health is the biggest concern," Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "If Joe's healthy, then we're fine."

Keith Bogans, who is 1-for-18 from the field in the past five games, is questionable for the Sixers game due to a tight lower back.

REG-GIE! Reggie Evans leads the NBA with eight 20-plus rebound games. Dwight Howard and Tyson Chandler are tied for second with four each. Over his last 11 games, Evans is averaging 8.9 points, 17.3 rebounds and shooting 53 percent from the field.
