ESPN picks Knicks, Nets to have 'turmoil'
By Jared Zwerling
ESPN asked 215 people who contribute to the network's NBA coverage to predict which teams would have the most "team turmoil" in 2013-14.
The outlook for the Knicks and Nets? ESPN's panel ranked the teams No. 2 and 3, respectively, behind the Lakers as far as which teams will make the most commotion next season.
The question ESPN posed to drive these results was: What happens when a proud team unaccustomed to losing heads in that direction? Or when tens of millions are laid out for veterans past their primes but whose name value brings unrealistic expectations?
Regarding the Knicks, one fan tweeted, "Sure, Melo is incredible. But their glaring lack of defense and two-way players will provide more drama than wins."
On the Nets, another fan tweeted, "Brooklyn clearly wants to win now but the the core of D will Pierce, Terry, Lopez and garnett still cant beat Miami."
