Kidd helps out 9/11 charity
By ESPN New York staff
Jason Kidd was in attendance at the ninth annual BGC Charity Day on Wednesday, according to the agency that represents the Nets’ first-year head coach, Excel Sports Management.
The event commemorates the 658 BGC employees that lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2011 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
BGC will donate all its profits Wednesday to several charities, including the Jason Kidd Foundation.
In its first eight years, BGC Charity Day has raised about $89 million across the globe.
