NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets center Andray Blatche sprained his left ankle late in the third quarter of Wednesday night’s 99-94 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers but thinks he’ll be able to play in Friday night’s game in Houston.

Andray Blatche scored 14 points and grabbed eight boards before leaving the game with a sprained left ankle.
“I sprained my ankle, but I’m fine. The good thing about it, it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow, so I’ve got some time to rest it before we have our next game,” Blatche said.

Blatche suffered the injury when he was fouled driving to the basket with 2:23 left in the third. He immediately began limping. Blatche shot his free throws but was subbed out of the game 1:12 later and did not return.

Blatche finished with 14 points. In four starts, he’s averaging 16.8 points.

Mirza Teletovic scored a career-high 17 points -- 14 in the fourth quarter. He also made a career-high four 3-pointers and went 5-for-6 from the free throw line. His 14 fourth-quarter points were the most points scored in a quarter by a Net in any game this season.

Mason Plumlee had a career-high four blocks in 21 minutes off the bench. The Nets blocked a season-high 10 shots as a team.

• The Nets held the Lakers to just 65 points on 32.3 percent in the final three quarters. Only problem was, they went for 34 points on 65 percent shooting in the first quarter.

• Games missed leaders: Andrei Kirilenko (11), Brook Lopez (seven), Deron Williams (six), Jason Terry (four).
