KG (back spasms) out next three games
By Mike Mazzeo
NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets center Kevin Garnett will miss at least the next three games before being re-evaluated on Saturday.
“We felt that we could hold him out until Saturday and then re-evaluate him before we leave for Dallas,” Nets coach Jason Kidd said, adding he was growing tired of getting constant questions about Garnett.
Garnett has missed the past eight games due to back spasms. He has not played since Feb. 27 in Denver.
Brooklyn begins a three-game road trip on Sunday against the Mavericks.
The Nets have gone 6-2 without Garnett.
Mason Plumlee has started in place of the 37-year-old veteran and averaged 6.0 points and 4.9 rebounds on 62.9 percent shooting.
Garnett is shooting 57 percent from the field since Jan. 1, and has been the team’s defensive anchor all season.
