Nets-Raptors tickets not as pricey
By Mike Mazzeo
Nets-Raptors just doesn't have the same feel as Nets-Knicks.
Ticket prices reflect as much.
As of 1 p.m. Thursday on StubHub, there were 2,032 tickets available for Saturday night's new regular-season opener at the Barclays Center, the cheapest being $49.
On TicketMaster, I found two tickets in Section 227, Row 14 for $63.20 each.
The original opener between the Nets and Knicks, scheduled for Thursday night, was postponed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Last week, the cheapest ticket for that game on the secondary market was $201, ESPN's Darren Rovell reported.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said at his Thursday news conference that he gave the NBA the go-ahead to play Saturday's game because it's a weekend, and even though mass transit remains a mess, there should be less traffic.
