W2W4: Nets at 76ers
By Mike Mazzeo
The Brooklyn Nets will look to extend their winning streak to four when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. Here's what we'll be watching for:
COMING TOGETHER: In the morning, the Nets were fielding questions about the ongoing investigation of Andray Blatche, who was questioned by police after an alleged sexual assault took place at a Philadelphia hotel. Brooklyn (19-15) is flying high right now under interim coach P.J. Carlesimo (5-1) and can't afford to be bogged down by the distractions that this may cause. It's just something the Nets will have to overcome.
SCORING SURGE: The Nets are averaging 112.7 points per game during their winning streak -- 101.3 under Carlesimo. In their first 28 games under Avery Johnson, they averaged just 94.5.
BROOK-LYN: Brook Lopez is averaging 23.7 points on 59.8 percent shooting since Carlesimo took over. With Andrew Bynum still out for the Sixers, expect Lopez to dominate.
