W2W4: Nets vs. Sixers

By Mike Mazzeo

The Brooklyn Nets have two tough road games coming up in Boston and Indiana. But first they’ll host the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Tuesday night. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Barclays Center.

Here’s what we’ll be watching for:

HOLDING ON: The Nets (44-32) lead the Chicago Bulls (42-34) by two games for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Therefore, beating Philadelphia (31-45) Tuesday night is pivotal. The Nets are 28-4 against sub-.500 teams (at time of game played), but lost to the Sixers the last time the two teams met at Wells Fargo Center.

INJURY REPORT: Joe Johnson (heel) is a game-time decision. Keith Bogans (back) is out.

MAN POSSESSED: In his last two games, Deron Williams is averaging 31 points on 58.8 percent shooting. Someone appears ready to go for the playoffs.

HOT AND COLD: Reggie Evans is averaging 17.3 rebounds in his last 11 games. Gerald Wallace is three for his last 32 from 3-point range.

JERSEY SALES: The Nets rank fourth in jersey sales among teams. Deron Williams ranks sixth among players.
