Bulls have 5-seed in their sights
By Mike Mazzeo
With one game remaining in the regular season, the Chicago Bulls are in the driver’s seat to secure the No. 5 seed and take on the fourth-seeded Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
That’s because the Atlanta Hawks lost to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night, so Chicago and Atlanta are both 44-37. Chicago owns the tiebreak because it won the season series with Atlanta 2-1.
The Bulls will get the No. 5 seed if they beat the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night or if the Hawks lose to the New York Knicks.
The Hawks will get the No. 5 seed only if they win and the Bulls lose.
