St. John's got throttled by No. 20 Georgetown in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night, 77-52. After the game, the Red Storm's fifth loss in six games, both Dwight Hardy and Justin Burrell said a players-only meeting would likely happen on Friday back in New York.

I was there -- here are links to the recap, and to my story.

In other local action on Wednesday:

  • Rutgers trailed Cincinnati by only one at halftime in Cincy, but lost by a final of 72-56. Jonathan Mitchell had 20 points for the Scarlet Knights.
