Jets linebacker Bart Scott is a big believer in Eric LeGrand -- and he can't wait to see the former Rutgers football player walk again.
Cantwait57.com, Scott's official website, is currently selling "Can't Wait" T-shirts, with the proceeds going toward LeGrand, who was paralyzed on Oct. 16, 2010, in a game against Army.
In the first couple of days after they were released, two types of the T-shirts sold out. Scott hopes the strong sales continue.
"It's just something that I came up with to benefit Eric LeGrand," Scott said Tuesday at Jets training camp. "Two of the shirts already sold out within the first couple days, so hopefully in a little while we'll be able to present him with something nice, and hopefully it'll be helpful for him in his continued struggle."
Scott believes LeGrand is an inspiration to us all.
"He's a good kid. I'm excited. I called him when he stood up for 40 minutes," Scott said. "I thought that was huge. I look forward to seeing the day where I can watch him walk around.
"He should be an inspiration for a lot of people; not giving up, always working hard and seeing this thing through."
