Iona to open up hoops season vs. Purdue

Iona will open up its 2011-12 basketball season with a game against Big Ten power Purdue, as part of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

The game will be on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m., and will air on ESPNU.

The other teams in the tournament are Temple, Western Michigan, Maryland, Alabama, Wichita State and Colorado.
