Evans, former St. John's F, to Germany

September, 29, 2011
Former St. John's forward Sean Evans has signed a contract to play for the Dusseldorf Giants in Germany's Pro A League -- a league similar to the NBA's Developmental League, feeding players into the German Bundesliga.

Evans is the fifth member of last year's St. John's squad to play professionally overseas, joining Dwight Hardy (Italy), Paris Horne (also in Germany), Justin Brownlee (Mexico), and Justin Burrell (Japan).

The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game last season for the Red Storm.
