Harkless named Big East Rookie of Week

St. John's freshman Moe Harkless has been named the Big East Rookie of the Week, for the second time this season.

The 6-foot-8 forward from Queens played the full 40 minutes in both games this past week, with 14 points and nine rebounds in a win over DePaul, and 22 points and nine rebounds in a win over Notre Dame.

On the season, Harkless is averaging 15.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, making him one of the leading candidates for Big East Rookie of the Year, along with his teammate D'Angelo Harrison.
