LIU's Boyd named NEC Player of the Year

LIU Brooklyn forward Julian Boyd has been named the Northeast Conference Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-7 junior from San Antonio, Texas, leads the Blackbirds in scoring (17.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.7 rpg), and led them to their second straight NEC regular season championship.

Teammate and fellow junior forward Jamal Olasewere (17 ppg, 7.6 rpg) also made the All-NEC first team.
