St. Francis' Braica is NEC Coach of Year

St. Francis (NY) head coach Glenn Braica has been named the Northeast Conference Coach of the Year.

In just his second year on the job, Braica, a former St. John's assistant, has turned around the program. The Terriers, picked to finish 11th in the NEC this season, instead are the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament, which begins Thursday.

St. Francis finished the regular season 15-14 overall, and 12-6 in NEC play. The Terriers host their quarterfinal game against Quinnipiac on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
