Columbia's Barbour receives Ivy honors

Columbia guard Brian Barbour has been named to the All-Ivy League first team, which was announced on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1 junior from Alamo, Calif., averaged 15.5 points and 4.4 assists per game this season. He is also the fourth-best free throw shooter in the nation, at 90.1 percent.

Columbia, under second-year coach Kyle Smith, finished the season 15-15 overall but just 4-10 in Ivy League play, good for sixth place. The Lions lost senior Noruwa Agho, an All-Ivy League first team selection a year ago, to a knee injury just two games into the season.
