Kentucky and Kansas will play the final game of the college basketball season on Monday night, with the national championship on the line. And each team has a player with roots in the New York City area.

Kentucky actually has two of them, and they are both in the starting lineup: freshman forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and sophomore guard Doron Lamb. Kidd-Gilchrist, from Somerdale, N.J., averages 11.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Lamb, from Queens, N.Y., averages 13.5 points per game, second only to Anthony Davis.

On the other side, Kansas has senior guard and Hoboken, N.J. native Tyshawn Taylor, second on the Jayhawks with a scoring average of 16.5 points per game.

So, who are you guys rooting for tonight? Remember seeing any of these guys play back in high school? Share your thoughts below.
