SJU, SBU, Manhattan make NCAA tourney

St. John's University, Stony Brook University and Manhattan College have all qualified for the NCAA Tournament in baseball, after winning their respective conference tournaments.

St. John's (37-21) is in the tourney for the third straight season and 34th time in school history, which ties them for eighth all-time. The Red Storm are the No. 3 seed among the four teams in the Chapel Hill Regional, and will play No. 2 seed East Carolina on Friday at 1 p.m.

Stony Brook (46-11) has now made the tournament two of the past three years, and four times overall. The Seawolves are the No. 4 seed in the Coral Gables Regional and will take on No. 1 seed Miami on Friday at 7 p.m.

Manhattan (33-25) is making its second straight appearance in the tournament, and fourth in school history. The Jaspers are the No. 4 seed in the Columbia, S.C. Regional, and will face No. 1 seed South Carolina -- the two-time defending national champion -- on Friday at 4 p.m., airing live on ESPNU.
