St. John's baseball makes Super Regional

June, 4, 2012
The St. John's University baseball team won its first NCAA Regional since 1980 on Sunday, courtesy of a 9-5 win over North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

The Red Storm now move on to their first-ever Super Regional, where they will take on the Arizona Wildcats, beginning on June 8 or June 9. The winner of the three-game series between St. John's and Arizona will advance to the College World Series.

Meanwhile, Stony Brook will take on Central Florida on Monday night at 7 p.m. in Coral Gables, Fla. -- the winner of this game will win that Regional and advance to a Super Regional as well, to take on LSU.
