Seton Hall released its nonconference men's basketball schedule for the 2012-13 season on Thursday.
The Pirates will open by hosting Missouri-Kansas City on Friday, Nov. 9 at Walsh Gym -- their first regular season game at their on-campus facility since 2000.
Three days later they will host Norfolk State at the Prudential Center -- both games are part of the 2012 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.
That tourney will continue at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Seton Hall will play Washington there on Saturday, Nov. 17, and then either Ohio State or Rhode Island on Sunday, Nov. 18.
The other nonconference home games are versus Maine (Wed., Nov. 21), St. Peter's (Sun., Nov. 25), NJIT (Tues., Dec. 4), North Carolina A&T (Sat., Dec. 15), Longwood (Wed., Dec. 19) and Stony Brook (Fri., Dec. 28).
Seton Hall will also play at LSU on Thursday, Nov. 29, as part of the SEC/Big East Challenge; at Wake Forest on Saturday, Dec. 8; and at LIU-Brooklyn on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“We think this is a challenging schedule that will well-prepare us for when the Big East games start after the holidays,” said coach Kevin Willard in a statement. “We’re happy to be able to play 17 games in our building this year in front of our loyal fan base.”
