The Big East is hosting its annual men's basketball media day here in New York, and tipped off the day by releasing its preseason coaches poll and All-Big East teams.

Louisville, coming off its Big East tournament title and Final Four run a year ago, is the unanimous pick to win the league. Senior guard Peyton Siva was named the preseason Player of the Year.

As for the locals? St. John's was picked to finish 10th in the 15-team conference this year. Rutgers was right behind the Red Storm at 11th, with Seton Hall coming in 14th.

In terms of the preseason all-conference teams, St. John's guard D'Angelo Harrison was the only local player honored, being named to the All-Big East second team.
