St. John's guard D'Angelo Harrison was one of six players named to the All-Big East first team on Sunday.

The other five are Creighton forward Doug McDermott, Providence guard Bryce Cotton, Xavier guard Semaj Christon, Villanova guard James Bell and Georgetown guard Markel Starks. McDermott, Cotton and Christon were unanimous selections, as voted by the league's coaches.

Harrison averaged 17.6 points per game during the regular season, the third-best scoring average in the conference, behind McDermott and Cotton.

No St. John's player made the six-man All-Big East second team or the four-man honorable mention list.

Red Storm freshman guard Rysheed Jordan was one of seven players named to the Big East All-Rookie team.

The Big East Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year awards will be announced Wednesday, prior to the start of the Big East tournament.
