Rutgers WR Sanu honored by Big East

Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, following his record-breaking game on Saturday.

Sanu, a junior, shattered the previous Big East record for most receptions in a single game (13), hauling in 16 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-26 win over Ohio.

The Rutgers wideout now leads the nation in receptions per game this season (12.0), and is ranked eighth in the nation in receving yards per game (121.0).

Rutgers, now 2-1 on the year, will open up Big East conference play this coming Saturday at Syracuse.
