Weather forecast for Sunday changes

January, 5, 2012
Weather might not be a big factor in Sunday's Giants-Falcons game after all.

On Wednesday, the five-day forecast for East Rutherford, N.J., called for rain and snow showers, and a high temperature of 43 degrees.

On Thursday, the forecast indicates partly cloudy skies and a high temp of 44.

Weather was a big topic of conversation at the Giants' practice facility on Wednesday, with some players -- including former Falcon Michael Boley -- saying they were hoping for messy conditions, since the Falcons are a dome team.

Falcons coach Mike Smith did not sound concerned Wednesday, saying he feels his team is well-equipped to handle the elements.

One thing's for sure -- it should be pretty cold on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. As for wind and precipitation? We'll have to just wait and see.
