Source: Ross interviews for Colts GM job

Giants director of scouting Marc Ross will interview for the Colts GM vacancy Friday, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

Ross is currently in his fifth season with the Giants. He came to New York after serving three years as a national college scout in Buffalo.

Ross got his start in the NFL as a public relations training camp intern with the Giants in 1995. He then moved on to work in the athletics department at Columbia University before working in the Eagles' personnel department for seven seasons.

The Colts surprisingly fired father-and-son tandem Bill and Chris Polian after they finished 2-14 in 2011. Indianapolis has the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
