Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich, who has not played since injuring his ankle on Nov. 28 against the Saints, will run on Tuesday and see how his ankle responds.
Herzlich was optimistic about playing Sunday against Atlanta in Big Blue’s NFC wild-card game, but he said his ankle “didn’t feel sturdy enough to go.”
He said he’s going to do some straight ahead linear running, and then some change of direction running.
“That’s kind of the final test,” Herzlich said.
“Once I can run, I will run, and I will play,” he added.
