Beatty cleared by doctors

February, 7, 2012
Will Beatty didn't get to play in the Giants' Super Bowl victory but the left tackle said he has been cleared after undergoing eye surgery for a detached retina on Thanksgiving.

"Right now, next game I'm in," Beatty said.

Beatty said watching his teammates win the Super Bowl was motivating.

"Being around the players, seeing them all dressed up [in uniform] but not going out of that tunnel when they go out, that was kind of a strange feeling," Beatty said. "I got drafted right after we won the Super Bowl and everybody kept saying, 'There's nothing like this feeling. This is what you want to get back to... Being able to see this, I'm now more hungry for it and we can go get it again."

David Diehl started the Giants last 10 games at left tackle, including the six games in a row the Giants won to become Super Bowl champions.
