The Giants will be keeping Eli Manning's backup as David Carr will re-sign with the Giants, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Carr just completed his third season with the Giants and second stint overall with New York. His first stint was from 2008-'09. Carr tweeted, "Champ has to defend his belt. I'll be there with my GMEN when WE do. #ALLIN #WEgotaRing #loyalty #greatestfansinthegame #blessed"

Carr gives the Giants insurance in case Manning ever gets hurt and also provides a good quarterback for the scout team as well.
