Cowboys' Carr vows to halt Cruz's salsa

The Cowboys' newest high-priced cornerback apparently isn't a fan of salsa dancing -- especially when it comes at the expense of the Cowboys.

Brandon Carr said on ESPN's NFL Live that he plans to get physical with Victor Cruz when the Giants and Cowboys meet in the season opener.

"I want to use all my body,” Carr said. “I'm six-foot, 200 pounds. I know he's got to run through me to get wherever he's running, so I'm going to be patient at the line. All that salsa dancing, that's fine, but you've got to come through me."

Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million deal with the Cowboys. And he vows to earn his money right away against Cruz and the Giants.

Cruz torched the Cowboys the last time the two teams played for six receptions and 178 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown. That helped the Giants win the NFC East and clinch a playoff spot.

It also was a big reason why the Cowboys had to upgrade at cornerback. Even though Cruz may still work out of the slot on third downs and Carr may have to see some of Hakeem Nicks as well, the Cowboys' newest corner plans on putting an end to Cruz's dancing against Dallas.

“I don't plan on seeing no dancing," Carr said.
