Steppin' to the A.M.: Back to work

It's that time of the year again -- the Giants are back and report for training camp today.

So that means "Steppin' to the A.M." -- your daily morning Giants wake-up call -- is back too. As many of you know, I'm an old school hip-hop fan so the morning blog, setting up the Giants day to come, is named after 3rd Bass' first hit.

For your morning reading pleasure: The Giants say winning it all last year has only made them hungrier to repeat. There certainly are obstacles that the Giants face as they attempt to be the first team to repeat since the Patriots did in the 2004 season. But they say they know what it takes to win after winning six do-or-die games in a row to finish last season.

On the schedule today: Players report between 9:30-11:30. There will be a conditioning evaluation between 4:10-5:00 and then Tom Coughlin meets with the media.

We'll have what the players are saying sometime during the afternoon and then Coughlin's opening remarks after he talks to us right here on the blog.

Camp 411: In case you are coming up, the Giants start practice on Friday. They will practice daily from 1:30-3:30 and all practices are open to the public. There will not practice on July 31, Aug. 5 and Aug. 9-11.

Autograph Night is TBD. Go to Giants.com for the daily schedule and any updates.
