Thomas' condition certainly sounds the more serious of the two. Thomas took a spill on Sunday during practice and would finish practice with an ice bag on his knee. He experienced swelling in the knee this morning and the team sent him to their medical experts at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Tom Coughlin sounded very concerned and down about the situation surrounding his starting cornerback, who is attempting to return from a torn ACL in that same knee suffered last preseason.
The Giants hope to have an update on Thomas’ status later on Monday.

“[Thomas] went down to HSS, I don’t know where they are at, I haven’t heard the result,” Coughlin said. “He walked up to me after practice [on Sunday] and thought he felt good. He didn’t really seem to have any issues and then this morning when he came back in it was swollen.”
“I don’t like the fact that it is swollen but I am not a doctor so don’t go basing it on me,” he added.
Boley also went to the Hospital for Special Surgery as well to have his hamstring injury examined. Boley and Keith Rivers both sat out practice on Sunday with hamstring injuries. Rivers watched Monday's practice on the field.
Cornerback Jayron Hosley also got up limping after slipping on the grass today and suffered a laceration that required stitches.
Coughlin did sound optimistic about defensive end Justin Trattou, who underwent an MRI on Sunday for a sprained ankle. The head coach said Trattou feels better and he thinks the team will get the defensive end back soon.
