Boley and Hosley feel good after practice

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Linebacker Michael Boley said he went through a limited practice on Saturday and hopes to be ready for the season opener.

Boley missed much of the preseason with a hamstring injury.

“I feel like I’ll be ready,” Boley said of playing against Dallas on Wednesday night. "As a competitor, I don’t like to miss games, period. I’m hoping I’ll be out there and I look forward to it.”

Of course, if Boley doesn't play against Dallas, he'd have another week and a half to recover before the Giants' second game against Tampa Bay.

Rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley said his turf toe felt good after going through individual and some team reps on Saturday.

"It felt good," Hosley said. "Not anything, no setbacks, not anything like that. It will be a day-to-day process."

Cornerback Prince Amukamara (high ankle sprain) was on the sideline at the start of practice during the portion open to the media. Tom Coughlin has said Amukamara likely will not play against Dallas. Defensive tackle Marvin Austin (back) also likely will miss the opener.

The Giants will provide an injury report on Sunday.
