EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Receiver Hakeem Nicks worked on the side during the early portion of Monday's practice, catching corner end zone practices from Giants quarterbacks Eli Manning and David Carr.
He was not in pads and may appear as a "did not practice" on the official practice report, but Nicks (toe) has said he will play in Wednesday's season-opener in Dallas.
Marvin Austin (back) was not in pads but did some work on the side. Austin has said that he is hoping to make his debut in Week 2 against Tampa.
Michael Boley was in full pads. We will know more on Boley later today.
Also, Will Beatty (back) didn't appear to be in pads but appeared to do some light work. Sean Locklear is expected to start at left tackle on Wednesday.
O'HARA RETIRING? Former Giants lineman Shaun O'Hara is expected at the Giants facility later Monday to announce his retirement. O'Hara was a key cog on the Giants' line during their run to Super Bowl XLII.
