EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – New York Giants cornerback Michael Coe suffered a hamstring injury late in the third quarter of Wednesday night's regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, and has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Coe is in his sixth NFL season, but was making his first-ever start, in place of the injured Prince Amukamara. The loss of Coe leaves the Giants dangerously thin at the cornerback position. Justin Tryon replaced Coe in the lineup.

We'll provide a more detailed update on Coe and his injury after the game.
