EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Hakeem Nicks said he was resting his surgically-repaired foot and plans to practice on Thursday.

"Today was a rest day, I’ll be practicing tomorrow," Nicks said. "I’m definitely doing Thursday, then we’ll see what they say about Friday.”

Nicks rested his foot in the final two practices before last week's opener and played against Dallas.

“I feel fine," Nicks said. "No pain, I’m good. It’s getting better.”

Defensive end Adewale Ojomo (hamstring) was the only other Giant to not practice. Cornerback Prince Amukamara went through a limited practice and still hopes to play on Sunday after being out with a high ankle sprain.

However, Amukamara said he does not want to be limping on the field. He said he limped a bit today in practice.

"I don’t want to play with a limp so if I am limping out there, I am going to be a target out there," he said. "I am going to be a target out there anyways. The offensive coordinator is still going to smell blood. If I am able to run, but if it is still lingering, then that is cool. But if I am limping, I don’t think that is [good]."

Amukamara said he did not feel sore when he woke up on Tuesday after running on Monday. Defensive tackle Marvin Austin (back), center David Baas (hip), cornerback Michael Coe (hamstring), linebacker Keith Rivers (hamstring) went through a limited practice. Offensive lineman James Brewer (back) and running back Da'Rel Scott (knee) went through a full practice.

Coughlin said Baas' hip is more of a nagging issue but he should be fine to play on Sunday. Coe has been saying that has been feeling better and expects to play. Coughlin expects Rivers to play through his ailment. Austin has to see how his back feels later this week and if he will be cleared to play.
