EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Giants' two starting wide receivers, Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, both missed practice on Friday.

Cruz's absence was excused, so he could attend his grandmother's funeral. Nicks was riding an exercise bike as his surgically repaired foot continues to heal. He sat out practice Wednesday too, but practiced Thursday on a limited basis.

Starting center David Baas also sat out Friday's practice after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday because of a hip injury.

Coach Tom Coughlin said after practice Friday that he expects both Nicks and Baas -- as well as Cruz -- to play Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Rookie defensive end Adewale Ojomo also missed practice on Friday with a hamstring injury. CB Prince Amukamara, DT Marvin Austin, CB Michael Coe and LB Keith Rivers practiced on a limited basis.
