EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks said his surgically repaired right foot was feeling fine after the Giants' win over Tampa Bay.
Twice, Nicks went down and appeared to be injured, but he finished with 10 catches for 199 yards and one touchdown.
Jim O'Connor/US PresswireHakeem Nicks scores a first-half TD."It's good," Nicks said. "It's pretty much what I expected after a long game, a big game like this."
Nicks had his right ankle accidentally stepped on by safety Mark Barron in the fourth quarter. Nicks was on the turf for a little bit before getting up and jogging off. He would come back and have 20- and 50-yard catches that helped set up two Giants touchdowns.
Nicks and the Giants now only have a few days to recover before the Giants play at Carolina on Thursday night.
Tom Coughlin has several key players injured. The head coach did not have any update on the status of Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), David Diehl (knee) and Domenik Hixon (head) immediately after the game.
The Giants also played the game without Prince Amukamara (ankle) and Keith Rivers (hamstring). Coughlin will have an update on Monday, but the Giants have only one major practice day on Tuesday before their Thursday game.
