EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Coach Tom Coughlin did not have much to say Tuesday on the status of several of his injured players.
When asked repeatedly about Ahmad Bradshaw, Coughlin would only say that the starting running back has a "neck" injury. Bradshaw, offensive tackle David Diehl (knee), and wide receivers Domenik Hixon (concussion) and Hakeem Nicks (foot) did not practice.
Nicks' rest was planned, and Coughlin expects the receiver to play against Carolina on Thursday. Nicks also said he plans to play. But Coughlin didn't say much else about the other injured players.
When asked about the nature of Bradshaw's injury, Coughlin repeatedly answered "neck." Considering Bradshaw did not practice on the only major day of practice this week, Andre Brown could get the start against the Panthers after an impressive showing in relief of Bradshaw on Sunday.
"I thought Andre did a nice job," Coughlin said. "He certainly was the focal point once Ahmad came out of the game. David (Wilson) has his plays and certainly will get some more time as well."
Cornerback Prince Amukamara (ankle), cornerback Michael Coe (hamstring), defensive end Adewale Ojomo (hamstring) and linebacker Keith Rivers (hamstring) went through a limited practice on Tuesday.
When asked if Amukamara will play on Thursday, Coughlin said, "We'll see. I'm not ready to say that yet."
Coughlin said "we are holding out against all odds" that Diehl and Hixon will feel better. But Hixon has to pass the NFL's head injury protocol and Diehl has an injury to his MCL. Diehl likely is out this week.
When asked if he is holding out hope for Bradshaw to play as well, Coughlin replied, "We are."

Jacquian Williams did some individual work today. He's rehabbing and resting his PCL injury that slowed him down last year.

So to recap, Giants didn't have their top two WRs at voluntary OTA. Nicks would've been limited but Coughlin wasn't thrilled.

Coughlin sounded disappointed that Nicks is not here at voluntary OTA. Nicks would've been limited though as he makes way back.

Don't see Hakeem Nicks on field at OTAs. Chris Snee and David Baas might be inside rehabbing. No Victor Cruz at voluntary OTA.
