EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. –- The New York Giants, with several players banged up, are looking forward to a well-deserved weekend of rest and relaxation.

Safety Antrel Rolle said his left knee is feeling better after colliding with a television camera on the side of the end zone during the Giants' 36-7 win over Carolina on Thursday night.

"A lot better than I did yesterday," Rolle said of how he is feeling. "Right now it's a bruise on top of my knee and a couple of lacerations, but it will be fine."

Rolle said he went through a full observation but did not require an MRI.

Cornerback Corey Webster broke a bone in his right hand but finished the win against Carolina and said he will be able to play with the broken bone while wearing a brace. Head coach Tom Coughlin confirmed as much on Friday.

"He can play with it," Coughlin said.

"Naturally, it will be cumbersome to him a little bit," the coach added. "You saw how he really was forced to tackle. I don't know if he is going to be able to wrap, but he still gets them down. His presence is very important to us. I'm thinking he will be OK."

Cornerback Jayron Hosley said he underwent tests on his injured hamstring and that there’s no major injury. He hopes to be ready when the Giants next play at Philadelphia on Sept. 30.

"It is feeling good," Hosley said. "A little sore. I will be good. I had an ultrasound, it showed nothing. That is a good thing.

"Good thing it wasn't a tear or anything."

Coughlin said wide receiver Hakeem Nicks needed more time for his surgically repaired foot to recover after Sunday's win over Tampa Bay, and that is why the team kept him out of Thursday night's game.

"It was a little close, he needed to have the extra time," Coughlin said.

Coughlin did not give an indication of whether Nicks will be fine for the Philadelphia game, but the receiver will have two weeks of rest before that NFC East game.

Coughlin said he isn't sure whether Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) will be cleared to play against Philadelphia, but he wouldn't bet against his starting running back.

Bradshaw injured his neck in the first half against Tampa Bay and has not played since.

"I have no idea there," Coughlin said. "He is going to have to pass the doctors, like the rest of them, but I'm thinking he will. He is a tough guy."

Wide receiver Domenik Hixon (concussion) will have to pass head-injury protocol before he can resume practicing. There was no word on right tackle David Diehl (MCL) with the team having the weekend off.

Linebacker Keith Rivers (hamstring) went with several players, including Hosley, to get examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

"Feeling better, better than yesterday," Rivers said of his troublesome hamstring. "It was just running. It's a hamstring so, tricky like that."

Cornerback Prince Amukamara said his high ankle sprain came out of Thursday's season debut better than expected.

"It's less sore than I thought, so I know I'm right on track to recovering to 100 (percent)," Amukamara said.
