EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Martellus Bennett has caught a touchdown pass in each of the first three games this season. In fact, he's the first player in franchise history to catch a TD pass in each of his first three games with the team.

But Bennett isn't excited about it.

"I'm probably the only person who's not impressed with the way I've been playing," Bennett said Wednesday. "I think there's a whole lot of room for improvement."

If that really is the case, then Bennett is going to become a fan favorite here in New York -- if he isn't already, because of his colorful personality and stream-of-consciousness performances in the locker room.

On the field, Bennett already has 15 catches for 185 yards through three games, and is the only Giant with more than one touchdown grab.

Last year with the Cowboys, he had 17 catches for 144 yards the entire season, with no touchdowns.

When asked what he wants to get better at, Bennett replied, "Everything. Technique, and just my whole game. I'm not happy with my whole game right now, so I'm just working on getting better as a player."

At his current pace, Bennett would finish the season with 85 catches for 987 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Giants fans would sign for that right now -- no improvement necessary.
