EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Giants safety Antrel Rolle worked during the early portion of Friday's practice, which could be a positive sign for his availability on Sunday against Philly.
We will have more information on Rolle's official status later this afternoon.
Rolle is still bothered by the bruised knee he suffered against the Panthers last Thursday, when he collided with a television camera. He had an MRI on Wednesday, which revealed nothing more than a bruise. But he sat out of Thursday's practice because of soreness in his knee.
Rolle hasn't missed a game in his three seasons with the Giants.
"Right now, I can't say it's a for-sure thing," Rolle said. "In my mind, am I gonna play on Sunday? Yeah. God willing, everything goes as planned and my knee feels good enough to go out there."
If Rolle can't go Sunday, reserve Stevie Brown is the likely replacement.
Tackle David Diehl (knee), wideout Hakeem Nicks (foot) and corner Jayron Hosely (hamstring) sat on the side during the early portion of Friday's practice. The players were riding the bike and stretching. LB Keith Rivers (hamstring) was also on the side, doing some light jogging.
We should have more on each players' status later this afternoon.
