Giants opt not to activate Sash for Browns

October, 6, 2012
The New York Giants opted not to make a roster move on Saturday to have Tyler Sash available to play against Cleveland.

The Giants had until 4 p.m. on Saturday to create roster space if they wanted to have Sash play on Sunday. Now the team will have until 4 p.m. on Monday to make a roster move to put Sash on the active roster.

Antrel Rolle is expected to play on Sunday despite a knee injury. And Stevie Brown will start in place of Kenny Phillips, who is out with a knee injury. If Rolle was unable to play, the Giants would've needed Sash on Sunday.

Sash is eager to get back on the football field after sitting out the first four games due to suspension for violating the league's performance enhancing substance policy.
