Hill's suspension makes way for Sash

October, 8, 2012
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- One safety suspended, another suspended safety returns.

The Giants lost Will Hill for the next four games due to suspension for taking Adderall and violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy. But that suspension created roster space for Tyler Sash, who served a four-game suspension for using Adderall as well.

Hill’s suspension is effective immediately and he will not be eligible to return until Nov. 5.

Sash will now be the third safety behind Antrel Rolle and Stevie Brown while Kenny Phillips is out with an MCL injury. The Giants also will have another roster move or two to make very soon. Defensive tackle Chris Canty and tight end Travis Beckum are eligible to begin practicing next week and are eligible to come off the PUP list and play after the upcoming game against San Francisco.
