The New York Giants worked out former Raiders running back Justin Fargas on Tuesday according to Pro Football Talk and NFL Network.

Fargas was with the Broncos during training camp. He played seven seasons for the Raiders and enjoyed his best year in 2007 when he gained 1,009 yards. He has had knee issues in the past.

Ahmad Bradshaw missed practice time last week with an ankle injury but played on Sunday in Houston. Head coach Tom Coughlin said on Monday that Bradshaw was "sore." Brandon Jacobs is behind Bradshaw and D.J. Ware is the third-string running back. Ware has had just two carries this season.

The Giants have more of a need at fullback with Madison Hedgecock dealing with a hamstring injury although Hedgecock could be back this week. With Hedgecock out, the Giants used tight end Bear Pascoe and Jacobs at fullback against the Texans.
