New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty suffered a sprained MCL during the Giants' 33-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Canty re-injured the same knee that kept him out of the first six games of the season.

"We will have to see how he responds," head coach Tom Coughlin said.

The Giants play the Eagles on Sunday at home and are still alive for a playoff spot but need help. If Canty cannot play, the Giants will have to start Rocky Bernard at defensive tackle opposite Linval Joseph.

"It's been better," Canty said of his knee after the game. "We have to go and get it looked at, and we will see what's what."

Coughlin said he also hopes starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who played against Baltimore after missing a game with a sprained knee, came out of the game healthy.

"Hopefully there is no setback," Coughlin said.
